What a busy week and a bit it's been......

We seem to be getting into a routine each day which includes either out walking with the pram or catching up with friends.

We have had big sisters birthday this week and the grandparents came round for dinner which was nice. We even managed to fit in a night out to a friends wedding reception while daddy stayed at home with his boys. It was great to get dressed up, the heels on and have a girlie laugh. I have even manged to fit into my jeans and I am ignoring the extra bit of muffin top that flaps over :{ The jeans button up which is a plus lol.
I have also managed to sort out my maternity pay after several phone calls to payroll due to  my inability to understand how it all works and was really disappointed to discover that my half pay finishes in February. Despite this I have decided to take the year off and even though we are living on a very limited budget I am sure we will manage. We have decided that this time is so important and we won't get it back again.

The weather is very wet and windy today so we have both been stuck in the house, which makes me feel a bit stir crazy and Brody seems to take a bit longer to settle and fights his sleep when in the house!

Not sure why babies do that, they can be so tired but resist falling asleep. Today we have entertained ourselves by listening to music and dancing around, we even had Classic FM on which Brody seemed to like : }
The combination of being cuddled, danced with, spoke to in funny voices, toys and music have kept him entertained for most of the day. He is fast asleep now and I think after fighting it for hours it has finally been the sound of the rain on the conservatory roof which may have helped! This has given me the time to update this blog and do a bit of Internet browsing and now I better go and get sorted to collect big sister from school and think about what i will make for tea or they will wonder what I have been up to all day !!!
I am glad there are no hidden cameras in my house or they would certainly think I was going a bit loopy.

Oh that's him awake now, he can sleep for hours in the pram but has just had a wee cat nap for 20 mins. Just in time to go in car seat and he will fall asleep in the car - wee angel :)
