Mostly organised with my Christmas shopping and it has been really frustrating at times. Firstly the space in some shops are far too small to navigate with a pram. In particular Sports Direct and the Card Factory, I had to dodge in between boxes of trainers to find my way to the tills and it felt like being in a maze as i had to back up at times and find spaces that were big enough. All the displays are at the front of the shop with the tills at the end and I was only needing vouchers. I really felt I should have got a prize when I reached the tills.
Also in the card factory the space between all the displays is not big enough to fit in between and people would just budge past and never even bothered if they knocked into the pram. Poor Brody was abruptly woke up a few times when being knocked into. I even had to ask someone to be a bit more careful and was rudely tutted at. I never realised how inconsiderate and rude people can be. I was even waiting to be served when the cashier shouted next and no-one would move to let me pass. She just drew me a dirty look and kept saying next. I told her I would love to pay for my stuff if I could reach the tills and she just served the next four people behind me. While I stood like a plum, waiting for people to allow me to pass -quietly seething :{
Now I understand that prams in shops can be a bit of a pest but really nowadays the prams are quite small and compact. I was using the car seat so the space I would be taking up wasn't a lot. This got me thinking about people who are not able bodied and how the layout in shops and the attitudes of other shoppers is really unacceptable. So much for Goodwill to all and such like lol.
